Despite having 2 teams participating in the State Canoe Race (held August 1st-3rd in Omer, MI), Circle 801 was once again denied the State Canoe Race Trophy… the only award our circle has never won.
The team consisting of brothers Dylan Cooper, PCS (Area Chairman) and Sebastian Cooper (who is leaving shortly to head back to France) won 2nd Place. The team of State Chief Squire Sean Roland, PCS and Brian Vincent (on his first State Canoe Race) won 3rd Place.

Circle 801 came close to claiming this title in 1987, but the counsellor/squire duo of Jamie Kuhlman and Mark Krawczyk was denied the crown even though they had the best time in the race.
